Requirements/Project Manager

The Datum Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for managing software development projects within the Air Force Learning Services Ecosystem (AFLSE) program. The AFLSE program is located at Randolph Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. AFLSE is a cloud-based learning ecosystem that will allow students to learn anywhere, anytime and on any device. The PM will be responsible for planning, organizing and managing a team that will integrate applications within AFSLE and deliver Full Operational Capability (FOC) encompassing functional capabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Serves as advisor to the project; compiles, evaluates and analyzes information, and recommends and implements solutions; assures the activities and procedures
  • Establish a project management plan based on the Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule that provides accurate and timely schedule and performance information throughout the period of performance
  • Establish a sound risk mitigation plan, which mitigates project risks and provides for special emphasis on AFLSE services efforts through integration of metrics to monitor status
  • Establish a comprehensive change/configuration management process
  • Ensure effective migration of legacy systems data to AFLSE in time to support Initial Operational Capability (IOC) and FOC dates
  • Provides advice and consultation to team members on dispute resolution, performance issues, and the interpretation and correct application of policies and procedures; mediates employee relations issues and assists with disciplinary actions while exercising the highest degree of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Direct and guide a technical team to completion of tasks and activities while maintaining schedule and preparing deliverables
  • Communicate with the Datum Program Manager, client and stakeholders to ensure transparency regarding project issues, risks, decisions and status of the project
  • Produce accurate and timely reporting of project status throughout the life of the project
  • Implement and manage project plans and updates to ensure project goals are achieved
  • Manage sub-contractor relations – contract, performance and delivery of deliverables/services
  • Ensure customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and team performance are being met

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in in business or IT related field
  • 5+ years of experience performing project management services
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Experience with Department of Defense rules, regulations and policies (preferred, but not required)
  • Experience with training records tools (preferred, but not required)
  • Expert analytical, written, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Expert in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Access and Word)
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a government led MultiFunctional Team (MFT)
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work within a team and independently

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Program Manager.
